Privacy notice
This notice explains what [Company Name], [Address] ("we", "us") keeps about you when you use vodformer or this website, why, for how long, and who helps us process it. Questions: [Contact email].
What we keep and why
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Waitlist answers: email, whether you stream or clip, main platform, channel link, audience size | To pick who to invite and to email you about the alpha | Until the alpha ends or you ask us to delete them |
| Account: email address, sign-in sessions, your settings | To sign you in and run your account | Until you ask us to delete your account |
| Links you import and files you upload | To make clips from them | Uploaded source files: deleted automatically after about 7 days. Imported links and your VODs' analysis (below): until you ask us to delete them at [Contact email] |
| Derived media: audio, transcripts, chat replays, clip picks, projects, video windows, exports | To show you picks, run the editor and export your clips | Projects and their exports: until you delete the project in the app. Everything else: until you ask us to delete it at [Contact email]. The app has no button to delete a VOD yet |
| Feedback you send, with any screenshot and the page details it carries (page address, browser, app version, screen size) | To fix bugs and improve the service | Until you ask us to delete your account |
| Usage and cost records: which picks you keep, trim, delete or export; jobs you run and what they cost us | To enforce the daily allowance, keep costs in check and improve the clipper | Until you ask us to delete your account |
| Server logs: IP address, requests, errors | To keep the service secure and working, and to limit abuse | [N days: to be set] |
| Database backups | To recover from failures | 30 days |
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare: R2 storage for your media; Workers AI to transcribe audio; Email Service to send sign-in links and alpha emails; Turnstile on the waitlist form, if it is turned on, to tell people from bots. Cloudflare runs a global network.
- Google (Gemini API): transcripts and low-resolution video of your VODs are sent to find moments and check picks. US regions.
- Modal Labs: media processing and server exports. US regions.
- Remotion: the video renderer's licence and usage checks. They receive render counts, never your media.
- [Hosting provider]: the server that runs the app and the database.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't show ads.
- We don't use tracking or analytics cookies. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in to the app.
Your rights
Email [Contact email] to ask for a copy of your data, an export of it, a correction, or its deletion. During the alpha, deleting your account, a VOD or anything else except a project is something we do for you on request at that address; you can delete projects yourself in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including complaining to a data protection authority. [Lawyer to review: legal bases, international transfers and region-specific rights.]
