Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company Name], [Address] ("we", "us"), the maker of vodformer ("the service"). By signing in or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. A closed alpha

  • The service is in a closed alpha. It is free, and you can only use it if we invited you.
  • It is unfinished. Features change or disappear without notice, it can be down, and we make no promise about uptime.
  • Data can be lost. Keep your own copies of anything you care about, including your source videos and exports. We delete uploaded source files after about 7 days.
  • Each tester has a daily processing allowance (currently about $2 of our processing costs per day, shown to you as estimated hours of video). It is a limit, not a promise: we may change it, and a job that doesn't fit is refused.
  • We may end the alpha at any time.

2. Your account

  • You sign in with a link we email to you. Keep your email account secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
  • One person per account. Don't share your access.
  • We may suspend or revoke your access at any time, for example if you break these terms or the alpha ends.

3. Your content

  • You keep your rights in what you import, upload and create ("your content").
  • You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process, transcode, analyse and display your content only as needed to provide the service to you, including through the subprocessors listed in our privacy notice. The licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in backups until they expire. You can delete projects in the app; to delete anything else, email [Contact email].
  • You confirm you may use what you import or upload. That includes clips of other creators' streams: you need their permission, or your own good-faith judgement that your use is allowed (for example under fair use or a similar exception where you live). This is your responsibility, not ours.
  • Link import reads videos and chat from the platforms' public endpoints. When you import from a platform such as Twitch or Kick, you are responsible for following that platform's terms.
  • We don't claim ownership of your exports, and we never add a watermark.

4. Copyright complaints and takedowns

If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, send a notice to [DMCA/copyright contact] with:

  • your name and contact details;
  • the work you say is infringed;
  • where the material is on the service (a link or enough detail to find it);
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by you, your agent or the law;
  • a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

When we receive a valid notice, we remove or disable the material, tell the user who added it, and let them respond. We end the access of users who repeatedly infringe.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to:

  • store, process or share illegal content, or content that sexualises minors;
  • harass, threaten or dox anyone, or post content meant to;
  • infringe someone else's rights;
  • try to break, overload, probe or get around the service's security or limits, or access other users' data;
  • resell or share access to the service.

6. Feedback

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve the service without owing you anything.

7. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. [Lawyer to review: limitation of liability, and any rights consumers keep under local law.]

8. Changes

We may change these terms. We'll email testers about material changes. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

[Governing law and venue: to be decided with counsel.]

10. Contact
