What happens to an upload

  1. Upload

    Large files go up in parts, and a part that fails is retried.

  2. Transcript and audio

    A full transcript, plus laughter, screams, cheering and loud reactions.

  3. Picks with reasons

    An AI model also looks over a low-resolution copy. Every pick says why it was chosen.

  4. Edit and export

    Fix the cut, captions and layout, then export a 9:16 or 16:9 MP4 with no watermark.

Shorts and long videos from one project

The same editor makes a vertical Short and a 16:9 video for your channel. Drag edges past the AI's cut, delete words from the transcript, add word-level captions, put your facecam on top of gameplay or the gameplay over a blurred copy of itself, and add music or B-roll on their own tracks.

Questions

Can I paste a YouTube link?

Not yet. Upload the video file instead. YouTube links are on the list, but they are not supported today.

Where do I get the file?

Use the recording you made while streaming, for example from OBS, or download your own stream from YouTube Studio.

Does it use YouTube live chat?

Not for uploads. An uploaded file has no chat replay, so picks come from the transcript, the audio and the video.

Can I make long YouTube videos too?

Yes. Export at 16:9 as well as 9:16, and stitch several moments into one video with transitions.

Is vodformer free?

Yes, during the closed alpha. Each tester gets a daily processing allowance that resets at 00:00 UTC. Paid plans come later; when they do, they will be priced by hours of source video, never per clip.

How do I get in?

Join the waitlist. The alpha is invite only and small, so we invite people in batches and email you when there is a spot.

Do exported clips have a watermark?

No. vodformer never adds a watermark, on any plan.

Does vodformer post to TikTok or YouTube for me?

Not yet. You download an MP4 and post it yourself.
