Made for videos longer than a minute
A highlights video needs structure as much as good moments. The editor has the pieces for both.
Chapters you can paste
Copy chapters gives you "00:00 Title" lines for the YouTube description. Add chapter titles puts each title on screen as it starts.
Transitions
A plain cut, a fade from black, a crossfade, a whip or a slide between moments, in the direction you choose.
A cold open
Hook-first cold open copies a moment's payoff to the very start, then whips into the video, so viewers know why to stay.
The chat on screen
Play the chat replay as an overlay, with 7TV and BetterTTV emotes, where the VOD has one: Twitch, and Kick when it keeps chat.
Subtitles
Word-level captions from the transcript, with a boxed subtitles style for 16:9, and every word editable.
Music that ducks
Music, sound effects and voiceover on their own tracks. Music can drop under speech by itself, and stream audio can be split from its video for J and L cuts.

Search what was said
The whole stream is transcribed. Search it for a line you remember, like "no way", and add the moment around it to the video.

What is a stream highlights video?
One longer video, usually 16:9 for YouTube, made of the best moments of a stream in order. vodformer builds one from the moments you pick in a VOD, with a chapter for each.
How do I get YouTube chapters?
Each moment in a compilation keeps its title as a label. Copy chapters puts a list of timestamps and titles on your clipboard, ready to paste into the video description, where YouTube can turn them into chapters. Add chapter titles also shows each title on screen.
What does the export look like?
An MP4 at 1920×1080, 30 frames per second, H.264 video with AAC audio, with no watermark. Render it free in your browser or on our servers.
Can I add moments the AI didn’t pick?
Yes. Search the transcript for something that was said and add the line, or open the whole VOD on one strip, with thumbnails, the waveform, chat activity and the picks marked, and select any range.
Can I make Shorts from the same VOD?
Yes. The same moments can become 9:16 shorts with a facecam split and captions, and a highlights video, each its own project.
Is vodformer free?
Yes, during the closed alpha. Each tester gets a daily allowance, shown in VOD minutes, that resets at 00:00 UTC; exporting in your browser doesn’t use it. Paid plans come later; when they do, they will be priced by the minutes of VOD you bring, never per clip.
How do I get in?
Join the waitlist. The alpha is invite only and small, so we invite people in batches and email you when there is a spot.
Do exported clips have a watermark?
No. vodformer never adds a watermark, on any plan.
Does vodformer post to TikTok or YouTube for me?
Not yet. You download an MP4 and post it yourself.
